Our recent and ongoing initiatives include:

  • International Trade & Diplomacy: In partnership with the Houston International Trade Development Council (HITDC), IGC organizes trade missions to Panama, facilitating port and chamber visits, marketing communications, and high-level government relations.

  • Economic Empowerment: We lead the Africa is Open (AIO) brand, a strategic initiative dedicated to empowering East African entrepreneurs and promoting global small business trade and cultural tourism in Kenya.

  • Global Small Business Development: IGC provides technical assistance and export development for sustainable, women-owned industries, such as aquaculture, to attract global investment and increase industry participation.

  • Trade Missions & Summits: We connect trade partners, investors, and industry leaders through the African Diaspora Trade Mission, supporting import/export readiness and annual cultural tourism delegations.

  • Civic & Regulatory Analysis: Our team led the analysis of impediments to fair housing for Texas City, developing comprehensive reports for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to address racial and ethnic segregation.

  • Strategic Advisory Services: Since 2020, IGC has provided government relations and technical assistance for staffing firms, supporting business certification and small business funding projects.
